HOT NEWS - EPC Services has sucessfully completed the detailed design for the largest and most complex DC substation in the UK. The substation was put into service in November 2009 to provide the interface between a dual electrified and DC railway in London. The substation has 20MW of installed capacity at 750V and incorporates PLC signalling system controlled contactor switching. The complete installation is estimated to cost in excess of £20 million.
